Abstract

?is paper was presented as a commentary to Dr. Beatriz Moreyra's paper: "La cuestión social y los primeros gobiernos radicales en Córdoba: ¿ruptura, continuidad o transición?", presented in the panel "El contexto federal: instituciones y conflictividad política en las provincias del interior", which took place in the conference "La Argentina hace un siglo. Politics, Economy, Society and History (1916-1930)", organized in September 2023 by the National Academy of History. It highlights actors, networks, and spheres of the great Santa Fe hinterland of the port city of Rosario, which would influence the experiential and political process of social solidarity
of Carlos Sylvestre Begnis, who was a student leader, teacher and researcher, surgeon, and leader of the Unión Cívica Radical
Intransigente and twice governor of the province of Santa Fe.
